CSS / Container Substation

The substation is a compact enclosure consisting of MV switchgear, a transformer and an LV switchboard located in three separate compartments. They are segregated from each other by means of partitions in order to ensure personnel safety.

The equipment can be operated and maintained through lockable doors provided for each compartment to maximise security. The complete substation is assembled and factory ready to minimise the time taken and the cost of site installations.

COMPACT SUBSTATION

A compact substation (CSS) is a type of power distribution substation that is designed to be more compact and portable than traditional substations. It combines various electrical components in a single enclosure, making it easier to install and transport.

Some key features and components commonly found in compact substations include:

Compact substations find applications in various settings, including urban areas with limited space, temporary power installations, industrial facilities, and renewable energy projects. Their design allows for quick installation and easy relocation when needed. Additionally, compact substations are often pre-assembled and tested in a factory before being transported to the installation site, reducing on-site construction time and costs.
